The App

BTravelrs was conceived one lazy afternoon when Raul was brainstorming his next retire-Steph-by 40-plan (still looking for a successful one…). He started thinking about the unsolved problems he faced and landed on the idea of a high-quality trip planning app. In researching other trip planning apps, Raul found that while there were better options, none quite met our needs. So, being a builder at heart and a software developer by trade, he decided to build one himself. He spent nights and weekends for over a year and a half designing (not his strong suit) and writing every line of code for what would become the BTravelrs app.

A year into the project, things were really starting to take shape, and Stephanie excitedly joined Raul as his Co-Founder to run the business side of things. She leaned on her decades of experience in operations, project management, marketing, and customer success to complement Raul’s technical skill set (they say opposites attract, and in this case, with great reason!).

In a strange coincidence, we both lost our day jobs in the summer of 2024, right before launching BTravelrs, giving us the push and time we needed to devote everything to this project. We are now hoping to turn this from a passion project into a business that can support our family (we have two adorably silly children, Madeline, age 5, and Roman, age 3) while allowing us to share our love of travel and planning with them.

The Community

One of Stephanie's passions is building a strong community, and she’s brought that to life at BTravelrs. She believes travel is all about connecting with others and creating meaningful experiences.
